about David Jones Architect
I’m a local architect based in Hillam, near Monk Fryston.
I specialise in listed building alterations and barn conversions, and design everything from small extensions to housing estates and commercial buildings.
I offer a full range of architectural services, including initial feasibility and sketch design, detailed planning application including any necessary negotiations with the planners, and preparation of full construction information. This includes construction drawings, contract advice and preparation, site inspections, contract supervision, and the negotiation of the final account.
My work includes everything you need to obtain a fixed price quotation from a builder, including a measured survey, design and construction drawings, the planning application (if necessary) and building regs application/approval. I can also happily recommend good local builders if required.
My fees are exceptionally competitive and I do not charge VAT. As an example, if your proposal meets permitted development criteria (ie. does not require planning permission) and is reasonably straightforward, my standard fee for this work is £750.00.
